<JADED> hey, you've reached Jade.
<JADED> leave a message or whatever and i'll get back to you.
<JADED> God, I hope this shitty thing actually works.

I'll try to keep him away from it. But when the rest of the staff starts asking why they didn't get one, I'm sending them to you.

You know, this means you can't complain at all when I give you a Christmas gift.

And you say I'm stubborn.

Want me to teach you how to drive it? It's only fair after you gave it to me.
no subject
I am not so sure that would be... wise. [ Suddenly, he seemed to be eyeing the scooter with a measure of distrust. ]
no subject
[It's weird to even think about. Jade couldn't imagine Enjolras was afraid of much, certainly not riding on a scooter.]
At least let me give you a ride on it.
no subject
[ There was much of technology that he had embraced, since arriving here- but there were still some things that were a little beyond him.
Like driving.
Cars could just go so fast... ]
no subject
So, short skirts and vehicles? Those are the things it's hardest to get used to here?
no subject
Flying, for one. [ He stretched his wings for emphasis, reminded once more of the fact he had been in this place for over a year, was just shy of the anniversary of his wings coming in- and he still could not do more than passably glide. ]
no subject
Her smile's shortlived when he mentions flying. He's not the only one to avoid some of his monster abilities. She offers him a sympathetic smile.]
I can get that. It's weird, right? Having all these new things you can do. I, uh, haven't possessed anyone yet even though I'm pretty sure I could if I wanted.
no subject
Yes, you could. [ Enjolras agreed softly, sounding somewhat far away. ]
Perhaps it is a waste, in not utilizing what has been forced upon us. [ Soldier had once told him as much. ] Still. I find the thought of flying unsettling.
no subject
Are there other things you like? Like, I figured out this one awesome thing I can do.
no subject
I like being able to shift. Into a cat- a lion. It feels... powerful. Comfortable; like nothing could possibly bother me again. [ He flicked an ear, closing his eyes gently. ] As a demon, teleportation was useful, although it was painful, at times. [ Going up in flame from the inside out usually was, even when flame resistant. ] What about you? What have you found that you find to be awesome?
no subject
The telekinesis is cool. And I figured out that I can like, take the pain of others. When the newbies showed up it was really useful. I could help them.
no subject
no subject
Yeah, when I touch them. Someone had been shot... I was able to help her.

no subject
It hurt, but I was fine. What's it gonna do to me like this? Pretty sure I can't even get shot anymore.

[Jade's pretty sure that she's been through enough trauma that a little more isn't going to screw her up. She's already there. And at least this trauma, it would let her help other people, something she feels like she's rarely able to do.]
no subject
[ He gives her a soft, ruefully apologetic look. He knows he's being overprotective about it, perhaps, but he's also not exactly sorry about it, either. ]
I'd've probably not allowed you too. [ He huffed out a breath, shaking his head a little. ] Too stubborn for my own good, sometimes. Besides- [ He hesitates, carefully choosing his words. ]
After a time, it wasn't so bad. [ Because he had finally asked Grantaire for help; had allowed the other to rub a salve into the worst of his clenched, and knotted muscles, over the stump of his wing that had given him all too much grief. ]
no subject
[Jade sighs, obviously annoyed by his, in her opinion, massive overreaction. She knows he means well, but it's annoying all the same. She's been through much worse and she knows how to take care of herself. Though, she'd never admit it, but she appreciates that he cares enough to worry. Not for the first time, she's reminded of her brother.]
Yeah? Did you find something that helped?
