[He'd known Soeki would like it. He's protective at the best of times, and it is hard to imagine himself in danger while coiled around the large, sleepy bear even if he knows there are threats out there that could harm even him.]

[It's definitely hard for Jade to imagine being hurt when she's surrounded by her two brothers, but it doesn't completely alleviate her worries. Soeki had been kidnapped too, it's not like they just targeted weaker monsters like her. She fixes him with a worried look.]

What about you? You shouldn't be going out alone either.

[crowedthedead]

Of course I would. [He's very territorial and protective. And possessive. On a good day it's just annoying, on a bad day it's stifling.]

I'll be fine. I just go to the clinic and grocery store and home, anyway.

You know I was including you. None of us should be going places alone unless we have to.

[For work, it might be unavoidable some of the time, but they can at least try. Maybe check in before leaving so they know how long they should be.]

[fourthsaken]

[Jade reaches one flame-like tendril to scratch behind Soeki's ears. A reassuring gesture to go with a demand.]

Soeki, I'm serious. If we're not walking around alone, you're not either.

[crowedthedead]

Okay, okay, I won't go anywhere by myself unless I have to. [Soeki snuffles against the carpet, rubbing a huge paw over his snout.] It's easier for me to drop you two off work and then go to the clinic, though.

You know I can do my work anywhere. Why don't I get it done in your office for a while?

I like Ollie's idea. You shouldn't be alone.

[crowedthedead]

[The bear shrugs broadly, finding himself outvoted two to one, and idly wiggles himself to rub against the both of them. If he can't be the protector, he can at least scent them both.]

Alright, if you can work out of my office. You know I never mind you being around.

[catphishing]

That should be fine for most of it.

[He scratches at Soeki's ear, coils tightening just a touch at his movement.]

Stay still. You're comfier when you aren't moving.

[Jade nods in agreement, cuddling against Soeki's side and a bit more tentatively letting one arm rest on Oliver's coils. It's been a long day, and Jade knows she's in danger of drifting off, of losing concentration enough to go intangible.]

So much comfier. Can we order in food for dinner?

[crowedthedead]

[Soeki rumbles out a pleased little growl as Oliver scratches at his ears, angling his head into the touch and going boneless again. He is again a big warm bear puddle.]

Up to you guys. I'm not moving, apparently.

[catphishing]

[Oliver hums, nodding at Jade's suggestion. He doesn't feel much like getting up to cook either.]

Can you, like, bring the phone over here with your mind?

[Does the cable even stretch that far? It's times like this he misses cell phones and takeout apps.]

[fourthsaken]

Probably?

[She hopes so. Jade has a feeling that if anyone's going to be getting up if the cable won't reach them, it'll be her. She concentrates, floating the phone closer and closer to them.]

[crowedthedead]

[The puddle of bear rumbles a little but otherwise stays where he is. He's at the bottom of the pile anyway so he's damn sure not getting up to get the phone or to cook.]

I feel bad for the delivery guy already. It's going to be a big order.

[Oliver rubs Soeki's flabby side with a grin.]

It's okay. We'll tip him extra,

We always have to. [She gets the phone over to them, it's cord stretched to its limit. Dialing is going to be another telekinetic effort, so she hands the phone receiver over to Oliver.]

Any requests? We're not ordering from more than one place tonight.

Aw, but take-out smorgasbord night is the best night. [Yes once in a while he gives in to the urge to order meal components from a few different places. He has a strange relationship with food these days. It's probably not the healthiest.]

Pizza?

Pizza then.

[He takes the receiver, waiting for Jade to dial the number in so he can give out their usual, extravagant order to whoever's on the other end of the phone.]

[It's pretty telling that Jade has the number memorized and is able to dial it easily.]

Get at least one with just veggies.
